Introducing the Preservation Arts Pest Control Center

Opening our Newest Department:

Preservation Arts Pest Control Center

We are pleased to expand to a new facility which will offer services in anoxia treatment for pest infested materials. Our new facility has a dedicated nitrogen chamber, intake room and is monitored daily to ensure the safety of objects and sensitive materials.

Anoxia treatment works by removing the oxygen within the enclosure and replacing it with nitrogen gas. The continued low oxygen levels within the enclosures for several weeks is known to desiccate the adults, eggs and larvae of the insects. The objects are enclosed and, if needed, custom built frames are constructed to prevent compression of the enclosure against the objects.

Each enclosure is monitored daily with high performance oxygen meters and are vented. Nitrogen gas is added as necessary to achieve the low levels necessary for the process to be successful. Silica gel is also added to the bags to control the relative humidity along with Ageless to combat residual oxygen. Please contact us for more information.
